Convenience or Conviction?

Hey Beauties,

I hope you are well!

I wanted to encourage you on something that I have been challenging myself on lately. As you may know, in London the weather has been horrible the past few weeks. There has been a storm which they have named Dennis. When they characterise such things, it perplexes me. Why are you trying to make this thing sound like a person? lol.

As time goes on, I have started to see that ministry and Christianity is inconvenient when it comes to comfort and things going smoothly as planned. I do not know if you have noticed. Today, my train lines that would have made my journey so smooth were cancelled. I had given my word to someone that  would serve today, but started to question whether I should bother. As soon as the thought came into my head I really challenged myself, "What about this integrity that you always speak on, Rosemary?"

When it really comes down to it, are we really going to be people that easily give up because of weather or transport? Because our perfect little plan did not go as smoothly as we would have liked? I decided that I would go because I had given God my word and I know that God has a lot for my life, so I do not want to miss any opportunities because of comfort.

I feel that the enemy has tried to stop people going to church with bad weather. It has been soooo windy lately. I decided to leave for church an hour and 45 minutes earlier than usual. What exactly would I be doing at home on a Sunday?

Ladies, get to a place where there is no excuse.

Yes, things genuinely come up that often can prevent us from doing as planned and I get that. But let us learn to keep our word, though matter what. I have spent money on workshops only for very few people to turn up and for me not to not even break even on the ticket sales. But I know who I serve and why I decided to do such a workshop. So let us be Christians with zeal and integrity rain or shine.

Real love is actioned, though matter the weather.

Matthew 5:37 (NKJV) But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

Be honest
Be true
Be reliable
Let your love shine through your actions
Be a servant
Be consistent
Pass tests
In Jesus name, Amen.
