Hey people! I hope you have
been well! So I recently did a video on your past being your past, and how
people will try to bring it up and try to put you down. I will leave that
linked below. But remember, God has called you for such a time as this, to follow
Him and leave all the rubbish behind. People will always talk. The Bible says
that they are as frail as breath, but the word of the Lord stands forever. So
who will you listen to? I know it is a process to walk away from what people
think of you, so I would recommend that you do a Bible study on what God thinks
of you, meditate on it and make it all that matters. You will notice that you
will start to hold your head high and have no time for foolishness! Yes, the
word of God brings freedom! Hallelujah.
Isaiah 2:22: Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a
breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?
As usual on the blog, I want
to go into more detail on the topic. On a different angle though, regarding
your ex partner(s)! I know that some people spend years dwelling on a
particular thing, I also understand that not everyone is on the same level i.e.
you may have moved on and found Christ (Hallelujah!), but they may not have found
Christ or may have and simply stuck in the past. What could have or should
have? However, sometimes it feels like when they keep getting back in contact
and wanting to, “talk about things”, its like they want to drag you back to the
then and also are somewhat feeling “left out”, that you don’t need them anymore
and are focused on your Jesus!
I have definitely been that
person that has had relationships out of God’s will, I have started out and
said that I wanted to wait until marriage, then eventually allowing them
manipulate me into sex. Just a side note, I am not bashing any of my exes! I
wish them the best and know that it was my choice to be with them, no one
forced me into any relationship. I am using my story to encourage you, as I do
on here!
I want to encourage you
today, to allow God to do a new thing in your life (Isaiah 43:19). I very well
understand the consequences of fornication, if you want to read more about that
please click here. I know that it involves soul ties and emotions that deceive
and make you think that yourself and this individual can work things out. The
devil may remind you of the good times and trick you into thinking that you can
go back, tag God to it and everything will be fine! But God cannot be mocked.
Such are the plans of the devil, to turn what God made to be beautiful to
something to be ridiculed and degraded.
Proverbs 26:11 likens a fool
repeating his/her mistakes, to a dog returning to its vomit. King or Queen,
rise above your past and walk into what God is calling you to do. Allow Him to
order your steps; He has no capability of lying or leading you astray. Trust
Him and you will be surprised at what He can do for you. He is a good and
faithful Father who is perfect in all of His ways.
Do you believe that God has a
Husband or Wife out there, suitable for you to serve God with? Or will you keep
returning to your vomit, believing the lies that you will not be able to find a
man that will wait for marriage, before sex? Or do you also not believe that
with God, everything is possible?
God says:
Jeremiah 1:5 – The word of
the Lord came to me, saying “I knew you before you were formed in the womb,
before you were born I set you apart ; I appointed you as a prophet to the
nations”
Isaiah 54:5 – For your maker
is your husband- the Lord almighty is His name- the Holy one of Israel is your
redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth
Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong
and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord God
goes with you; He will never leave nor forsake you.
Romans 5:8 – But God
demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us.
Romans 8:31 – What shall we
say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Ephesians: 2:10 – For we are
God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared
in advance for us to do
Ezekiel 16:6 – Then I passed
by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood
I said to you, “Live!”.
You are way more than
someone’s rebound, toy or whatever. If you were called to marriage, you are
someone’s WIFE. But always God’s first. You are not to be used, but to be
respected as the child of God you were called to be. The way you carry yourself
will determine that. Granted, you cant control the way people see you, the
devil will surely send people to discourage you in your walk on purity, they
will insult you and try to put you down but when you stand on the Word of God,
the Holy Spirit will reveal that it is just the enemy’s tricks but YOU will
rise above it and keep it moving.
I feel like one of the
biggest lies that the enemy presents before us is the fact that men do not
persue women in the Church, but those in the world do. Those are satan’s sons!
I have heard of Christian women stating that they have not seen a man persue
her in the Church, but saw one that was not a Christian, so decided to get with
him and bring him to Church. Look, I know that it can be strange to have a
Church full of men and not one has approached you (or taken you seriously if he
has) but... maybe it is just not your time yet? I believe that when it is the
right timing, God will bust down a door that no one can close.
So beautiful person, know
that you are worth the wait, precious, a masterpiece, special, wise, full of
potential and more! Jesus encourages us to focus on Him and race to win (1
Corinthians 9:24). Doesn’t this encourage you to run past that ex, addiction,
or whatever sin it was that you once had and focus on Jesus? Even if you just
did it a second ago, its in your past. When you have finished beating yourself up
with self pity, go back to God’s presence and He will not only forgive you, He
will heal you and more than equip you for the journey. You will be surprised at
His over and beyond faithfulness. He is just so faithful!
I hope this encouraged you!
