Don't Give Up!!
Hey ladies, or maybe it is an assumption that only women are
reading! It has been a while since I have come on here and had a heart to heart
with ya, how have you been?
I wanted to encourage you not to give up. I recently did a video on
this, which I will leave on the bottom of this page.
This Christian life is not supposed to be easy, if it was everyone
would be doing it. It is easier to give up, walk away and backslide. It is a
spiritual fight [Ephesians 6:12] and you must understand that. The flesh is against
what the spirit wants. We have to be in the mindset of strengthening our spirit
constantly. This is done by spending
time in Jesus’ sweet presence. I recently learnt that the word shekinah refers to His presence and I
have fallen in love with the word.
It is funny how Christianity is fun until we have to sacrifice
something that we really want. My
personal relationship with Jesus has challenged me to fight, ultimately for
love by being obedient. Am I always obedient? No. But here is the thing I want
to encourage you with today: when you slip and fall dust yourself off and keep
trying. Repent. Go back to His feet and tell Him how you feel. Let Him mould and create
in you a clean heart [Psalm 51:10]. Please
do not let the enemy use your mistakes as a way to steal from your joy.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus.
This
honestly is a lifetime journey of faith. We will never reach a stage where we
have made it. You may do all sorts of things that you would not have liked to. You
may repeat your mistakes a 100 times. I always say that we never know how we
will react in a situation, until we are in it ourselves. That is why when we
hear crimes on the news we should not be quick to judge. At the beginning of my
walk I faith, I thought I could trust myself in certain situations. Now I
realise that the key is to create boundaries to avoid sin. I realise that I am
weak, but of course, in Him I am made strong [2 Corinthians 12:9].
It
is important to be aware of these truths and continue to encourage one another
in fellowship and prayer. I am growing, which I thank God for. But I will not
pretend that my walk is anything perfect and will keep it real with you.
Please
be encouraged! God loves you so much and has a plan for your life. Do not get
caught up in this temporary and crazy world. It is not worth it.
