Love and Valentines Day

by - Saturday, February 14, 2015

Hello Beauties! Though I have been quiet on here I have not forgotten about you. I decided to do a blog post today in light of Valentines Day to reflect positively on how we should love in all aspects of our lives. Focusing on what we do have instead of thinking about the husband or man that we do not have if that is the case. Those that do have a husband or planning to marry (God’s way) should remember to love and cherish them. Keep in mind that relationships are hard work but the love of God surpasses all difficulties. Keep the Faith.

Matthew 37: Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

As Christians we really have to stop and think about what love truly is. Reflecting on ways that we can behave lovingly to one another really makes a difference. It can just be the smallest things in our day-to-day lives. In public saying “excuse me please” Instead of rolling our eyes or kissing teeth at someone in our way. Just exercising patience with one another makes a world of difference. It truly gives hope in this day and age to just be kind to one another.

We all know that as Christians, we slip, trip and fall in our walk with Christ. But because He loves us so much, He forgives us when we repent and allows us to continue to grow in the body of Christ. I am truly amazed on how far God has taken me in my own walk in faith with Him. I remember almost two years ago on Valentines day, I was presented with beautiful roses and gifts from the man I thought I loved. I had this empty feeling and anger that I just could not shake off. I felt like something was missing. Something was wrong. The mistake I made was trying to fill a void in the wrong way. The man I was with did not love God WHOLEHEARTEDLY and that alone just messed with me. It is not worth it ladies to be with someone that does not love God more than they will ever love you. God is the true author of love:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

So how can he be loyal to you if he is in the world and has no one to answer to? No fear towards ending up in hell for living a life of non-repentance and sin? Lukewarm Christian? [Revelation 3:16]. I watched an amazing video about the importance of fleeing from sex before marriage, which I will leave below.

I have been having a great time with Pinky Promise. I decided to open one for East London (Instagram: @Pinkypromiseeastlondon) and attend other groups in London to encourage cohesion. These beautiful ladies are God led and kind. I have not met women that are this welcoming in the body of Christ. This movement is amazing so if you feel led please feel free to join.

We decided to have a cook out and Bible study at Tracey’s (The leader of Croydon Pinky Promise) house for Valentines day. I am really looking forward to this today! I have been once before and she is very welcoming and accommodating. I am just so glad for these God led groups and friendships being built around the world. All because one woman obeyed the voice of God. See how powerful it is when we listen and are obedient?

In closing, I just want to say that you are worthy of God’s love. Though matter what anyone has said to you has or made you feel. DOES NOT MATTER WHO THEY ARE, you are worthy of being loved. God’s perfect way. God loves you and wants you to live a good and holy life. Do not worry if you are single today, just seek Him first [Matthew 6:33] and everything that He knows that you need will be added onto you. Amen!

Have faith and be patient. But in all things put God first. He is the only one who will accept you for who you are when humans may turn away from you. He LOVES you and will always love you even when you sin. Our God is mighty and He is truly amazing. I am so in love with Jesus and have totally given my life to Him.

I am so unbothered by affairs of the world and just live a simple life. When people wonder why I am not excited by the attractions of the world like I used to be, I just have to remember that not everyone will understand and it is not my job to get them to. Only God changes hearts and that is what we should remember. I am focused on the eternal life that my Jesus has promised and how to live my life better to get there. Just play your part in the body of Christ and believe me, they will eventually see the Jesus in you.

Happy Valentines Day – Its all love x
